WP 2 Water RDI mapping in Europe

WP2 builds on the preliminary mapping survey developed by the Water JPI and the complete mapping performed by Commission Services on Water in the Framework Programme. The previous Water JPI mapping effort focused only on programmes funding RDI projects. WatEUr broadens the scope of mapping activities. WP2 has been designed to gather relevant information on water-related research, development and innovation, at the national and regional levels.

Mapping will feed SRIA development (WP3).

The WATER JPI is a relevant structure for Horizon 2020

Both the Water JPI and Horizon 2020 use public funds to achieve their goals, and enjoy a significant area of synergy in their respective research priorities. The JPI provides a channel for dialogue with the EC on future Horizon 2020 calls. Since its launch, the EC has been very supportive of the Water JPI and a non-voting member of its Governing Board.
